Prospective GT Students and Families:
Shadow and Tour Information

At Creighton, we would like prospective students and families to get to know our school! Shadowing is for students who would like to experience first-hand what a Creighton school day is like. Tours are designed mostly for parents to learn about Creighton from Nick Kemmer, our principal, and go on a walk around the school and ask questions.

Tour Information: Tours will start at 8:00 am on selected Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (October 2019 - May 2020.) Please let main office staff know when you arrive at Creighton so they can direct you to our library. The tours last until 9:30 am, followed by a question & answer session with Mr. Kemmer. When you sign up, you only need to register one slot per family under your student’s name. Visit our SignUp Genius for Tour Registration.

Current Creighton GT Center Parents: If you are interested in participating in a tour and giving your perspective of Creighton, please contact Nick Kemmer.

Shadowing Information: Shadowing will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with a few exceptions. This is an opportunity for your child to experience all Creighton has to offer for a half-day. They will be accompanied during their stay by a student ambassador. You will meet with Creighton staff and your child’s ambassador in the front office at 7:30am. After this initial meeting, shadows will accompany their ambassador to their first class of the day. Shadowing students should bring a notebook, pencil, and a book to read (in case there’s a test that day). Please plan to pick up your child in the main office at 10:30am.

Visit our SignUp Genius for Shadowing Registration. If you can’t see openings available, make sure you are on a desktop computer so it is easier to see all the options. Please list your child’s name followed by their current school on this form. This will facilitate the choice of a shadow ambassador.

Thank you for your interest in Creighton!

Our GT Center program at Creighton
is designed to allow students to be part of a "team" (Purple Team) where all the core classes, including Enrichment, are created to meet the needs of gifted students.  Students stay with the same core teachers for two years, allowing the teachers to get to know students on both an academic and personal level. This also allows for the students to build a strong sense of community with intellectual and age-alike peers to support the student's social and emotional needs in addition to accelerating, deepening and expanding the academic core.
