Outdoor Lab
The mission of the Outdoor Education Laboratory (Outdoor Lab) program is to enhance and enrich student learning as an integral part of sixth-grade curricula by providing opportunities for hands-on, experiential, authentic learning in an outdoor setting. In addition, Outdoor Lab fosters opportunities for student growth in environmental stewardship through an enhanced awareness, appreciation, and sense of responsibility for the environment, themselves and others.

Outdoor Lab Spring 2026 Trip Information
This year Creighton Middle School 6th graders will be attending Outdoor Lab from April 20th to April 23rd (Pink & Yellow Teams) or April 28th to May 1st (Purple & Silver Teams).
Pink Team will attend Windy Peak.
Yellow Team will attend Mount Blue Sky.
Purple and Silver Team will attend Mount Blue Sky.

Outdoor Lab requires that a consent form is completed for every student attending. Please complete the online form for your student by Monday, March 2nd, 2026.

Cost of the Trip
Fee: $325 can be paid directly to Creighton Middle School via the Campus Parent Portal. Please contact the financial secretary (Elizabeth Sweeney, Elizabeth.Sweeney@jeffco.k12.co.us ) if assistance is needed. If you think you may qualify for financial assistance (formerly called Free & Reduced Lunch), please fill out the student benefit application in SchoolCafe.
Medications and Medical Needs
If your child requires medications, EPI pens, inhalers, etc. an additional form will need to be filled out and turned into your homeschool’s health room up to two weeks prior to departure. This form requires a physician or provider with prescriptive authorities signature and can be found here
