FACS I: Family and Consumer Science

6/7/8 Grade


Students will obtain knowledge and skills that are useful for the efficient and productive management of the home and to be successful in the workforce. Course topics typically include food preparation, safety and nutrition; sewing and textiles; child development and care; and interpersonal relationships.


FACS II: Family and Consumer Science

***Passing grade in Family and Consumer Science I is the prerequisite to be in this course.***

7/8 Grade


FACS II builds on the knowledge obtained in FACS I around knowledge and skills that are useful for the efficient and productive management of the home and to be successful in the workforce. Course topics typically include food preparation, safety and nutrition; sewing and textiles; consumer decisions and personal financial management; and interior design.
