6/7/8 Grades
Using a running and lifetime fitness program as a basis, students will participate in activities, including soccer, softball, track, field, volleyball, basketball, badminton, flag football, an introduction to weights, team handball, and several recreational games. Students are tested on their fitness levels in the areas of strength, speed, flexibility, power, endurance, and agility. Skills tests may be given in each activity. Students are expected to consistently put forth the effort to improve their ability in each activity and to maintain or achieve a high level of fitness.
Lifetime Fitness

7/8 Grades
This course emphasizes acquiring the knowledge and skills to maintain lifetime fitness beyond Creighton. Students will explore topics such as nutrition, stress management, and consumer issues, in addition to physical activity and fitness. Students will develop and implement a personal fitness plan.

Specific Sports Activities

8th Grade
This class is composed of peer coaches who work with students with special needs that need an adapted physical education experience. All students will participate in various individual and team sports while learning about themselves and others. At various times throughout the year, students will help students with special needs train for Jeffco Adaptive Athletics competitions.
