Sexual Harassment Reporting Notice

Jeffco Public Schools is committed to providing a working and learning environment that is free from sexual harassment, and it is the policy of the District that sexual harassment will not be tolerated.  Students, parents, and staff are encouraged to work together to prevent sexual harassment and to report promptly any conduct that could constitute a violation of this policy.  The District is committed to conducting prompt investigations of any allegations of sexual harassment.  To that end, any employee who believes that he or she has been subjected to sexual harassment should report the alleged harassment to:

Students and parents who believe that a student has been subjected to sexual harassment should report the alleged harassment to the Executive Director of School Effectiveness responsible for the student’s articulation area.  District employees who witness or believe that that a student has been subjected to sexual harassment shall promptly report the harassment to the building principal for effective action.  If the harassment is being committed by the principal, the report shall be made to the Executive Director of School Effectiveness.

Any person who is determined to have engaged in sexual harassment in violation of District policy shall be subject to disciplinary action, including, but not limited to, warning, reprimand, transfer, discharge, suspension, expulsion or other appropriate remedial action.  For additional information, please see District Policies GBAA and JBB.
